Steve Kendall Named NEW Athletic Director

We have a new Athletic Director here in Leominster, as was announced by Leominster Public Schools. He will replace the current AD and former football coach Dave Palazzi, as he retires. Steve Kendall joins the Blue Devils on July 1, 2026. Steve was chosen from a crop of great candidates.
Full disclosure, Steve is related to me, so I’m a little biased. Having said that, Steve, a LHS Graduate himself, has always been a sports fan from an early age and very competitive. He still plays hockey and is an avid hockey fan, as well as all sports.
He has a wealth of experience as the current Athletic Director for Ayer-Shirley. He also taught and coached softball and other sports at Nashoba Regional High School, alongside my brother Ken and my nephew Jamie at the same time. Steve also worked at WAAF in Worcester for a time. I think I gave him a little of the radio bug when he was young. He was also a sports writer for the Worcester Telegram-Gazette and sports writer and sports editor for a time at the Fitchburg Sentinel-Enterprise.
I could not be prouder of all that Steve has accomplished, and I look forward to working and helping him establish himself once again as a Blue Devil.
